Wolverhampton Wanderers are apparently considering offering Joao Moutinho a new contract.
That is according to journalist Ekrem Konur, who tweeted the information earlier today.

The claim comes just days after Moutinho celebrated his 35th birthday.
The star is undoubtedly in the final stages of his playing career now, and this news certainly comes as a bit of a surprise
Despite his advancing years, Moutinho remains a key and relied upon player at Molineux.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
So far, he’s made an incredible 142 appearances for the club since signing in 2018 at the age of 31.
The maestro hardly ever misses a game, and has showcased amazing technical quality during his time in the Black Country.
He didn’t have the best of seasons on 2020/21. But many people see him as one of the best to ever wear the old gold shirt.
Currently, Moutinho’s contract sees him through to the end of 2021/22.
Some expect this to be his final term at Wolves, so the claim from Konur is interesting.
Wolves must not be too hasty here
Yes, Moutinho has started the new season well under Bruno Lage.
But Wolves can’t be making a decision on this any time soon.
This conversation should be had at the end of the season, when people can properly assess the situation.

Mourinho has amazing stamina and durability for his age, but there’s a chance he might start struggling towards the end of the current campaign.
Any talks should definitely be put on hold, so Moutinho and the club can decide at the end of the season if he has another in him.
