An impressive statistic has come to light about Wolves goalkeepers Jose Sa and Matija Sarkic.
It is new territory for both this season, with Sa coming to Molineux from Olympiacos, and Sarkic currently out on loan at Birmingham City.

Both have made a really bright starts, with Sa having already won one Player of the Month award.
Sarkic has made 17 Championship appearances so far, and the Birmingham Mail have given him an 8/10 rating for his season up to now.
Both have regularly drawn praise, and it seems both are actually quite underrated when it comes to their distribution.
According to CLUB, Sa tops the statistical category so far for most chances created by a goalkeeper in the Premier League (3).
And Sarkic leads the way in the Championship, having also created three chances.
This is encouraging to see.
In todayβs game, it is important for goalkeepers to have more strings to their bow than just shot-stopping.
Having a goalkeeper who can create a chance is most welcome, especially if the team are struggling to break the opposition down.
Great to see from Sa and Sarkic
It is a big positive that Sa and Sarkic have the capacity to create chances.
Sometimes, the game calls for a long, accurate ball from the goalkeeper.
We see it with Manchester City. Sometimes, not often admittedly, theyβll have trouble breaking teams down, and Ederson will punt one upfield and create a chance from nothing. It can be extremely effective, and catch people off guard.

Whatβs really good is that Sa and Sarkic are both showing good all-round games.
Their creative sides are not coming at the expense of the basics of being good goalkeepers.
