Jose Sa and Hwang Hee-chan have both been mysteriously unavailable for Wolves’ first two games in Alicante.
The goalkeeper and the winger haven’t even been on the bench for the games against Deportivo Alaves last night and Levante this morning.
Supporters have been wondering why the duo have not been available to play so far.
But Express & Star journalist Liam Keen has tonight provided an update.
He says that both have been contending with injuries. But, thankfully, neither are serious and supporters can expect to see both back playing again ‘soon’.
Hwang was seen doing some individual work earlier this week, suggesting that he had picked up a knock of some kind.
Sa has been in training videos released by Wolves last week and this week, so perhaps his issue was picked up just before the Alaves game.
It remains to be seen if the pair will be involved in Wolves’ next game.
The club take on Besiktas on Saturday, which should be a good test.
The club then have their last game in Spain on Sunday against Villarreal B, before heading across to Portugal to face Sporting CP and SC Farense.
Boost for Wolves as Jose Sa and Hwang Hee-chan injuries aren’t serious
Some have been a little concerned to see Sa and Hwang missing from the two teamsheets so far.
But it seems neither will be out of action for much longer.
It would be good if both were available for Saturday’s game against Besiktas, as that game should be a really good contest. Without doubt they are the strongest of Wolves’ four opponents during their stay in Spain.
It will be good for Hwang especially to get some minutes into his legs.
The star returned back to the club later than most after completed his military service.
