The 2025/26 season is a big one for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who will be desperate to pick up where he left off.
Strand Larsen couldn’t have introduced himself to the Premier League in a better way, scoring 14 goals from open play in a tough setting at Wolves.
There were dips and rises throughout the Norwegian’s debut season, and now, he’ll be aiming for even more.
It’s already clear that Strand Larsen is enjoying life without Matheus Cunha, opening up a vacancy for the 25-year-old to be the focal point of Vitor Pereira’s attack.

Jorgen Strand Larsen was frustrated against Stoke City
It’s been a positive start to pre-season for Wolves’ number nine, who found the net in a friendly against Burnley.
Things didn’t go as swimmingly for the 2024 signing against Stoke City, however, but not for reasons that should concern Vitor Pereira.
Taking to his column for the Express and Star, the Wolves icon shared one prominent thing he spotted about Strand Larsen during the contest.
“When Larsen came off, you could see a bit of frustration because he had only just started playing with Bueno, and he could see some chances coming, which he was starved of in the first half.”
Edwards was full of praise for Hugo Bueno, who returned from a fantastic loan spell at Feyenoord, ready to be Rayan Ait-Nouri’s successor.
Against Stoke, Edwards spotted that Bueno had a ‘real intent’ to cross the ball into the box at the soonest opportunity, something Wolves’ strikers ‘will love’.
“The big plus for me was Hugo Bueno when he came on, because in the first half we really lacked balance with Bellegarde at left-wing-back.
“Having a natural left footer on that side really helped in the second half. You can see what Bueno is all about going forward, he has real intent and he wants to cross the ball as quickly as possible.
“Players like Jorgen Strand Larsen and Sasa Kalajdzic will love playing with him because of that delivery.”

Hugo Bueno could make Strand Larsen even better
The feedback is food for thought for Pereira, and a real eye-opener about what the main sources of threat could be for Wolves over the 2025/26 campaign.
If there was one complaint during last season, it was that at times, Strand Larsen appeared to be isolated in the final third, something that Bueno’s return will surely aid.
Being a dangerous figure in the box, the Spaniard’s playing style on the left will be huge for Strand Larsen, who can make things happen with the right service.
Pereira has the knowledge of what Strand Larsen and Bueno could offer Wolves next season, as the Old Gold desperately search for ways to replenish the threat lost from Matheus Cunha and Ait-Nouri.
