Jorgen Strand Larsen shares what he noticed about Wolves last season

Jorgen Strand Larsen shared something he noticed about watching Wolves last season, in a conversation with sporting director Matt Hobbs.

Ahead of the weekend Wolves released footage of the Norway international’s first day at Compton Park.

Strand Larsen signed on loan from Celta Vigo, and the likelihood is that he will turn his move permanent fairly quickly, as the club’s option is based on appearances.

Wolves fans are hoping to see Strand Larsen continue the form he showed last season, when he scored 13 goals in La Liga.

He has given a great impression so far.

He comes across very well in all the media Wolves have released after he signed, and it’s clear the striker feels very privileged to play for Wolves in the Premier League.

Strand Larsen became Wolves’ third signing of the summer on Tuesday, and was one of two additions that same day, the other being Pedro Lima.

Earlier in the summer, Wolves turned Tommy Doyle’s loan move permanent, and then signed Rodrigo Gomes from Braga.

It has been a productive summer so far, and it’s been good to see Wolves getting business done early, and the three new faces will have ample time to settle and get to know their new teammates.

Strand Larsen is excited to get going – and he has already watched a bit of Wolves last season.

It has been known that Strand Larsen has had contact with Wolves for a while, with the club having had him on their radar since as far back as 2018.

Seemingly, Strand Larsen has actually been checking in on Wolves, and he can be heard making an interesting comment to Matt Hobbs.

Hobbs tells Strand Larsen that many of Wolves players had improved a lot compared to the season before, and the striker then said (via Wolves official YouTube): “I saw some games last year. (You can see) There is a plan, you know? There is passion to play football and that’s good for me.”

Strand Larsen could thrive for Wolves

Many Wolves fans have a really positive feeling about the Strand Larsen signing.

He scored 13 goals last season, and he has said all the right things following his move to Wolves. It is really good to hear that he did watch a bit of Wolves last season, so it’s possible he’ll already have an idea of how things will be.

In recent times, there certainly has been a passion about Wolves. A passion that had got lost at the end of Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure, and then again during Bruno Lage’s last few months in charge.

Gary O’Neil has to take a lot of credit for that, and clearly it is something other players thinking of joining the club are now looking at.

The fact this appealed to Strand Larsen suggests that we will be seeing him showing a lot of it himself.
