Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has delivered a claim that will excite supporters ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Wolves close out their pre-season preparations with a home clash against Rayo Vallecano at Molineux It’s the final dress rehearsal before Gary O’Neil’s men travel to Arsenal on the opening day of the season.
The Old Gold have spent most of their pre-season transitioning into a four-at-the-back system that has served them well while embedding new faces Pedro Lima, Rodrigo Gomes and Jorgen Strand Larsen into the squad.
Supporters will be pleased with what they’ve seen from their new signings, but in particular Strand Larsen, who has impressed as a solo striker.
The 24-year-old, likened to Norwegian teammate Erling Haaland, was captured on a season-long loan from Celta Vigo with an option to buy for £25 million.
For the first time in years, it looks as though Wolves have a proper striker leading their line, with Strand Larsen possessing the tools to become a success in the Premier League.

Jorgen Strand Larsen outlines ‘big’ aim at Wolves in 2024/25
Last season, Wolves finished in 14th position, as O’Neil was commended for delivering a positive season at Molineux, despite ending the campaign with only one win in their final 10 matches.
With the additions made to the squad – and more expected – there is a quiet confidence that O’Neil’s men can finish in the top half, or perhaps challenge for the European spots.

That is a sentiment echoed by Strand Larsen, who believes this squad of players can ‘achieve big things’ this season, dubbing his teammates a ‘really good’ set of players.
Speaking to the official club website, the Norwegian sharpshooter said: “It’s been very good. We’ve been playing well and I love it here. I love it. We’ve been training well, we’re playing well in the games, and the gaffer and the staff are doing well.
“Us players are working hard and I think this team are really professional, and honestly, we’re a really good team and I think we can achieve big things this year.”
Such comments from Strand Larsen will fill supporters with confidence as the striker aims to set the Premier League alight.
What is a successful season for Strand Larsen and Wolves
Wolves attackers Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha were lauded for reaching double figures in the top flight, as it was the first time in the club’s Premier League journey that two players had achieved that total in one season.
In his first campaign in England, Strand Larsen hitting at least double figures for goals will be regarded as a success.
It could take him a while to settle and deliver what they’re hoping however, given his height, frame and scoring power, it shouldn’t take him long to settle.
A successful campaign for Wolves, on the other hand, will surely be finishing in the top half and perhaps going on a long cup run, as they did in 2023/24.
