‘Joke’: Chiquinho wowed by what Wolves loanee did at the weekend

Luke Cundle scored a brilliant goal on loan at Plymouth Argyle at the weekend – impressing another Wolves loanee in Chiquinho.

The midfielder is spending the season at Home Park in a bid to get regular minutes.

Last term, Cundle was at Swansea City and enjoyed a productive spell at the Liberty Stadium.

With Wolves deciding to bring in midfield recruits at the end of the window, it made the most sense for Cundle to head out again.

And so far he has made a good impression at Plymouth.

And his goal against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday was of the highest quality.

Plymouth took on Blackburn at Home Park on Saturday and were 3-0 winners.

Both sides had 20 shots apiece in the game.

But Plymouth were just more clinical – and Cundle’s effort was a cracker.

The ball was punted up the field by goalkeeper Conor Hazard, and it was chased down by Ryan Hardie.

The press from Hardie forced Rovers goalkeeper Aynsley Pears to make a poor clearance.

The ball went to Cundle, but he still had a lot to do from the edge of the area.

But Cundle needed just one touch, lofting the ball first-time over the stranded Pears and into the back of the net.

It was a great goal, which impressed Wolves winger Chiquinho, who described it as a ‘joke’ on Instagram.

Great to see Cundle getting among the goals

Cundle has spoken about adding goals to his game, and he now has two in five appearances for Plymouth.

He scored a tremendous curling effort against Crystal Palace last week in the Carabao Cup.

This is good to see, but the main thing is that Cundle just keeps getting regular minutes.

The youngster made his Premier League debut in the season before last, and he will no doubt have hopes of playing in the competition again with his boyhood club.

As long as he keeps his head down, Cundle will give himself a chance, because he’s certainly a talented young player.
