Hodge made his first-team debut back in October under interim manager Steve Davis.

He went on to make handful of appearances, with Julen Lopetegui taking a liking to him.

Hodge has just struggled for minutes a little with the first-team lately. But that was perhaps inevitable after the club signed Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes in January.

His time will come again, and the club definitely have high hopes for him.

Hodge really impressed when called upon, and the youngster puts that down to rubbing shoulders with some quality players in training.

He especially values working alongside fellow midfielders Neves and Joao Moutinho.

And of the former, he made a rather big claim.

He said in an interview with the Express & Star: “Joao has been one of the best midfielders in the world for years. Ruben exactly the same and is probably the best passer of a footballer in the world at the moment.

“They’re all top players and I’m learning a lot from them. Speaking to them every day is helping me.”

WhoScored data shows his completion rate in the Premier League so far is 84%, which is very good considering he will often attempt long balls out wide.

If the 26-year-old is going to leave in the summer, Wolves will have a very hard time replacing that amazing passing range of his.
