Julen Lopetegui gave special credit to Raul Jimenez after Wolves’ 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Wanderers took three huge points after the north Londoners thanks to a goal from Adama Traore.
The Spaniard scored towards the end of the second-half to cap off a really good second-half display from him and also the team.
Traore had entered the action at half-time, and caused real problems for Spurs.
Someone else who also had a great game yesterday was Jimenez, who forced Fraser Forster into a save before Traore scored.
The Mexican had a tough time against Liverpool in midweek, and Lopetegui decided to start Diego Costa against Spurs.
But Jimenez replaced Costa midway through the first-half after he was stretchered off with a knee injury.
And the £100,000-a-week star put in a fantastic display, linking up really well with those around him.
He may not have scored, but Lopetegui was very pleased with his contributions.
He said (Express & Star): “And, above all, Raul Jimenez has played a fantastic match in my opinion. It’s good news for him and for us.
“He didn’t score but he was very important in a lot of facets of the play.
“It’s important. Sometimes we analyse the forwards for the goals that they score but they have a lot to offer to the team. I have to review the match, but in my opinion he has made a very good match.”

Jimenez was superb for Wolves yesterday against Spurs.
He will have been disappointed not to start over Diego Costa. And when he got on he played as if he was trying to send a message to the manager.
He may not have scored yesterday but he made a big impact.
He is showing right now that he is the man who should be leading the line.
