Rob Edwards accused his squad of being scared against Nottingham Forest in his half-time team talk, and with Manchester United on the horizon, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has responded to those claims.
The Old Gold faltered against the Tricky Trees on Wednesday night, after what was such a promising showing against Aston Villa a few days earlier.
With the game at Molineux, Rob Edwards would have been hoping that with an improved performance and the crowd behind them, the efforts against Villa could have been converted into three points against Forest.
However, it was not to be the case, and Edwards’ half-time team talk summed Wolves up.
Now, ahead of facing Manchester United, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has described how the players are feeling, and with Wolves’ lack of options in midfield, he is surely in with a chance for a third consecutive start.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde insists Wolves players are not scared ahead of Manchester United clash

Over the last few weeks, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has been one of Wolves’ bright sparks in attack. While nothing has been able to come of it, he has been part of the few trying to make things happen in the final third.
His display against Aston Villa was one of the bigger positives, and fans questioned the decision to substitute him.
And then against Nottingham Forest, Bellegarde was one of a few good performers.
Speaking ahead of Monday night’s game, Bellegarde believes the squad are not scared, in light of Edwards’ suggestion against Sean Dyche’s side.
He stated, “We know the pressure that comes with that, and it’s normal, because the situation in the league means every match to us is crucial. But that doesn’t mean we’re afraid.” (via Wolves).

If fans are to believe that the players are willing to put it all on the line to bring home results and they are not scared, then more than just words will have to be shown as proof.
And in Bellegarde’s case, he has certainly been proving that on the pitch.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s stats show he is willing to drive Wolves forward
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde started the season as a bench option, but he has shown himself to be a great asset for Wolves.
When it comes to the Old Gold and getting the ball up the pitch, there are few better than the Haitian.
The midfielder ranks seventh for dribbles per 90 (2.53) out of all Premier League midfielders. Additionally, he comes in at fourth for progressive carries per 90 (2.67), as per Data.MB.
Wolves have struggled in the final third, and chances have been few and far between, but with Bellegarde in the side, they certainly have better prospects of getting the ball into those areas.
