Wolves fans are putting more effort off the field than the players are on it, as Fosun continues to be the vocal point at Molineux.
The new manager bounce never appeared for Wolves after appointing Rob Edwards, with four losses on the bounce in the Premier League.
We are just 15 games into the season, and it feels like it’s already over. Nottingham Forest sit 13 points ahead of Wolves, and there are no signs of a first win anytime soon.
He has only known the players for a matter of a month, and he’s already fed up with them. Edwards called his Wolves squad out for their child-like performance against Man United, and rightly so.
But the one underlying factor in all of this is Fosun. Supporters feel they have left the club to burn after selling all of the major assets in the summer and failing to reinvest appropriately.
Wolves’ value decreases by the day… how much are they worth now?📉
Jamie Carragher feels Fosun has left Wolves to rot
The issues have become so big that even pundits are chiming in on the matter, and how can they not when Wolves are going down as the worst Premier League team ever on paper.
Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of the game, Carragher joined forces with Wolves supporters as he called Fosun out for leaving the club to drift.
Fosun called out by Jamie Carragher 🗣️ What will it take for them to sell up?
It’s baffling to see the way Wolves are heading and for there to be radio silence and no movement in terms of a potential sale. But it also speaks volumes about the ownership at this club.
There needs to be a change, and it needs to happen quickly.
It all stems from the summer transfer window for Wolves
Many Wolves supporters accepted the fact that Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri had taken opportunities and a step to better their footballing career for a fair price.
However, it became clear that in order for Wolves to really build and push on, this money had to be spent right after losing your two biggest contributors from last season.
Wolves’ policy has always been to buy young, promising players and then go on to sell them for profit, which has mostly worked with Pedro Neto, Ruben Neves, Matheus Nunes and Diogo Jota just some examples of players who have made the club lots of money.
The summer transfer deadline is a key example. There was room in the budget for at least one more signing, but there was complete silence from Wolves instead of a central midfielder arriving.
The summer of 2025 was a brilliant transfer window in Jeff Shi’s eyes… 🥴
