Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher was full of praise for Pedro Neto in the lead up to last night’s game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.
The ex-Reds defender was on hand to speak about the form of the 21-year-old this term, and compared him to the likes of Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka.

Neto has been a shining light for the team this term following the sale of Diogo Jota and injury to Raul Jimenez.
The former Lazio and Braga player has developed into one of the division’s most exciting youngsters, and Carragher is in no doubt about his potential.
He said last night before kick-off on Monday Night Football: “I think he should be right in the running (for PFA Young Player of the Year).

“These three (Neto, Foden and Saka) are the real standouts for me.
“I actually think the model of Wolves is to buy young up-and-coming players, and eventually sell them on for big money and I think he will be the next – I think he could be a superstar, Neto.”
Neto could cause heartbreak for Wolves fans
Carragher’s prediction about Neto is one that is very realistic.
He is the clear standout in this team, or at least he has been in the absence of Jimenez.

Not only is Neto an extremely talented player with amazing potential, but he’s also massively likeable as a person and his mentality and level of ambition is remarkable.
There just isn’t any getting away from it at this point – the day he leaves Molineux for big money will be a crushing blow for many a Wolves fan.
