Many players left Wolves in the summer of 2025, and one has now struck up a close friendship with Jack Grealish.
Wolves fans will likely not look back on the 2025 summer window fondly, with so many players departing, either through being sold or moving on at the end of their contracts.
Since the window close, most of the focus has been on the exits of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
They were two top talents, and Wolves now have a big creativity issue following their sales to Manchester United and Manchester City respectively.
But Wolves also lost other important players.
And one player who was rarely seen on the pitch in old gold was Tom King.
Jack Grealish says he’s a big fan of Tom King already

Tom King only ever made one appearance for the Wolves first-team.
And that came last season, when he came off the bench in Wolves’ final game of the season against Brentford.
He replaced Jose Sa for the final minute or so, in what was a proud moment for the 30-year-old.
King always accepted his role as the number four goalkeeper at Molineux, but never complained and was a respected figure.
In the summer, King left Wolves to join Everton, with the Toffees paying a nominal fee.
He’s yet to make his debut, and he will likely have a similar role to what he had at Wolves, but he has found himself an early fan in the form of Jack Grealish.
Grealish was asked by a young fan who his best friend at Everton currently is.
He mentioned Jordan Pickford as the player he is closest to, having known him from the England squad. But he then said: “Tom King also, I get on really well with. Just a funny guy.”
Why Tom King left Wolves
Pereira stated he was quite happy for King to leave Wolves, saying: “I don’t want to work with players that don’t want to stay. All my career I did this.
“To feel the happiness and energy that I want to create in my group, I cannot work with players that are not satisfied.”

His comments came across a little cold, but King was never an issue at Wolves, and could now be an important figure at Everton.
Before Wolves’ last win in the Premier League against Leicester City, King gave the team talk, which showed his leadership and led to praise from Pereira after Wolves’ 3-0 victory.
Things like that will surely be to Everton’s benefit later down the line.
