Steve Bull has lavished praise on the Wolves attack – and believes Matheus Cunha is a ‘scary’ player for defenders to face when he’s dribbling.
Wanderers have now settled into the 2023/24 season.
It was a tricky start losing to Manchester United when the team should have taken at least a point.
A 4-1 defeat to Brighton followed. Wolves then beat Everton, but lost two more against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
But Gary O’Neil has steadied the ship in recent weeks, taking five points from the last three games.
The win over Manchester City was huge, and it appears to have bred confidence.
The attack is looking especially lively right now – and Bull has praised Cunha for his recent performances…
Steve Bull impressed by Matheus Cunha for Wolves this season
Bull is really enthused by Wolves’ attack at the moment.

Like many fans, he’s been loving the combination of wingers Hwang Hee-chan and Pedro Neto.
But he’s also made sure to give Cunha his due credit in his latest Express & Star column. And he’s picked out one trait of his in particular.
He said: “Cunha is gelling everything together up front too.
“I don’t think he’ll score 15-20 goals a season, but when he runs at players it’s scary and he’ll help set his team-mates up.
“He’s doing the job the manager is asking him to do and the combination up front is working.”
Cunha brilliant apart from one aspect
The trio of Hwang, Neto and Cunha is looking very good right now.
Cunha – who recently suggested he’s looking to stay at Wolves for a long time – has enjoyed a pretty good start to the new season, but there’s just still question marks over his finishing.

Sadly the Brazilian struggles in front of goal.
The £44 million signing has everything else you could want in a forward player.
If he can just become a bit more clinical then Wolves will seriously be in business.
