Rob Edwards may have lost all five of the games he’s taken as Wolves manager so far, but one player has been a big winner of his appointment.
Rob Edwards has been in charge for little over a month now at Molineux, after Vitor Pereira was sacked following the dismal 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.
He was questioned by many for taking the job, with Wolves in a world of trouble right now.
But Edwards has admitted this was a dream role for him, and he could not let the opportunity pass him by.
Wolves fans, what have you made of David Moller Wolfe so far this season? 🤔
He has benefitted massively from Rob Edwards' arrival…
It has been a very tough start for him in terms of the results. Five losses in five games is certainly disappointing.
But there have definitely been some positive signs across those five games – and also some players who’ve genuinely done well.
And one such player is David Moller Wolfe, who may well actually be the biggest winner of the Edwards appointment.
David Moller Wolfe is the biggest winner of Rob Edwards’ arrival at Wolves
Moller Wolfe arrived at Wolves as the club’s third signing of the summer.
He came in from AZ Alkmaar, joining the Old Gold for about £10 million.
It was anticipated that he would be a good replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri, given he’d had 11 goal involvements in 47 appearances across all competitions.

But Moller Wolfe barely featured in the first two months of the campaign, with Vitor Pereira preferring Hugo Bueno. And to his credit, Bueno took his chance.
However, Moller Wolfe has turned things around, and has now gone from one of the least used players in Wolves’ squad to starting the last five Premier League games in a row.
Clearly, Edwards has seen something in him that he likes, and the Norwegian has been one of the better performers for Wolves despite poor results.

Moller Wolfe deserves credit for turnaround at Wolves
Before Edwards came in, many were critical of Moller Wolfe and feared the club had really overpaid for him.
But he’s now coming good, and is very much in favour with Edwards.
Fill in the blank: David Moller Wolfe will finish the season with __ goal involvements for Wolves
He's already got four across all competitions (two goals, two assists)… ⚽🎯
It’s interesting, because Bueno did not particularly deserve to be dropped from the starting XI. Indeed, Bueno’s crossing statistics for Wolves were impressive and there didn’t seem any danger of him losing his place.
But whatever the reason Edwards decided to start starting Moller Wolfe, the Norway international has taken his chance.
