Wolves are back in Premier League action on Tuesday night as they host West Ham at Molineux.
It’s been a successful international break for Wolves, who have seen many stars flourish on the stage for their nations while watching them return in full health.
Vitor Pereira will want his side to build on their momentum from the 2-1 win over Southampton and pull further clear of the bottom three.
Ahead of West Ham’s visit to Molineux, Pereira has praised Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, who assisted Jorgen Strand Larsen twice at St Mary’s.
The Portuguese boss would have also been pleased to see that one of his stars signed a new contract this week, prompting an outpour of emotion from the fanbase.

On Monday, it was confirmed that centre-back Yerson Mosquera signed a new five-year contract at Wolves, keeping him at the club till 2030.
Mosquera suffered an MCL and ACL injury in September after impressing at the start of the campaign for Gary O’Neil, with Pereira recognising the 23-year-old’s talent.
Reacting to this news via X, one supporter wrote: “Extremely sensible. If he plays the way in which he did this season and can avoid injury, we’ve got a superstar on our hands without the contingency of being down to 12 months. Hope sincerely Yerson can kick on this time round.”
“Hope he comes back strong! Could be a huge asset next to Agba and Toti,” another supporter predicted while a third replied: “Awesome news, he is the future of our backline as is Bastien Meupiyou.”
It's amazing what less than twelve months does. Last summer, bare squad at CB. September Mosquera gets his ACL. Now look at the options…

“He’s gonna be a top player for us, I can feel it,” another predicted while a sixth stated: “Hopefully he can come back the same player we’ve had a glimpse of. Him, Agbadou and Toti is a formidable back three.”
“Yerson, Agba and Toti is a terrific back 3. Definitely need to sign at least one and probably 2 more CBs if we’re sticking with this system,” a seventh agreed.
Awesome news, can’t wait to see him with Agba and Toti 🧡🖤 https://t.co/tcvgLmcIZS

Fosun deserves credit
Fans have rightfully criticised Fosun in the past as they’ve often asset-stripped the club and not invested in the playing squad.
But in January 2025, Wolves were the second highest spenders in the Premier League, behind only Manchester City, with the Old Gold showing a statement of intent in the market.
Now, it appears they’re planning ahead with Mosquera signing a long-term contract at Wolves and that is refreshing to see.
It appears Fosun could have turned a corner in recent months, and although the relationship with the fanbase is irreparable, they can win back a few brownie points by also backing Pereira in the summer transfer window.
