Wolves made it win number two of the season on Saturday as they saw off Manchester City at Molineux.
With Pep Guardiola in the stands, Gary O’Neil took charge as his Wolves side took a 1-0 lead as Ruben Dias put Pedro Neto‘s excellent cross, into his own goal.
City then equalised through Julian Alvarez, but that wasn’t enough the put the Wolves down as the Molineux side bounced back and scored a second.
Hee-Chan Hwang took full advantage of some defensive confusion after one again Neto crossed it in.
This spectacular performance from Neto has caused his manager to praise him heavily.

O’Neil on Neto
Speaking post match, in his press conference which Nathan Judah reported, O’Neil was full of praise for his winger.
“Neto has been incredible,” the manager said, before explaining why he was so good, “his energy , his work-rate, his intelligence.”
Neto was a constant threat down the right terrorising Nathan Ake on multiple occasions with Michael Dawson saying that the Dutchman really ‘struggled‘.
Hugely impressive performance one again, and he was unlucky not to add to his assist tally in this one, but regardless his stock has risen.
Wolves to push on now
Wolves’ confidence will be sky high after beating probably the best team in the world.
This will mean they fancy their chances against any club coming to Molineux to face them.
This starting with Aston Villa next Sunday, a game which previously seemed difficult suddenly seems winnable.
A huge win at a vital time for O’Neil, long may it continue now.
