Wolves had Jose Sa to thank for their win over Everton at the weekend – and the goalkeeper has since come in for praise from Alan Shearer.
Wanderers got their first points of the new season, beating the Toffees 1-0 at Goodison Park.
Sasa Kalajdzic’s late header was the difference between the two sides.
It was a big result for Gary O’Neil, who had seen his side create a lot of chances in the first two games.
Kalajdzic was the match-winner against Everton.
But Wanderers were kept in the game by Sa, who made a string of great saves – including one outstanding one from Abdoulaye Doucoure.
And for his efforts, Sa has made it into Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.
Wolves star Jose Sa receives praise from Alan Shearer
Wolves stopper Sa has made it into Shearer’s latest Team of the Week for his role in the win over Everton.
The Toon legend said of the 30-year-old: “Made incredible saves to put Wolves in a position to claim a huge win at Everton.”
It is a deserved inclusion for Sa, who made seven saves in the game.
Six of those saves were made from shots inside the area by Everton.

The save from Doucoure was truly special, and is arguably the best one made in the Premier League so far this season.
Jose Sa must now kick on for Wolves
Sa was exceptional against Everton and he must now look to kick on.
The 30-year-old – who is supposedly in talks with the club about signing a new contract – needs to find consistency between the sticks for Wolves, just as he did in his first season.
There is potential for this to be a very hard season and so Wanderers need their number one to be bringing his A-game every week.

He is a great goalkeeper.
He struggles to play out from back at times, but there is now denying how good a shot-stopper he is and how quick his reactions are.
