‘I feel even better’: £50k-a-week Wolves player claims Gary O’Neil has already improved him so much

Pedro Neto has insisted that Gary O’Neil has had a really positive impact on him at Wolves.

Wolves’ Portuguese winger is lauded weekly by Gary O’Neil at this point for his continuous brilliance for Wolves.

Pedro Neto has been unstoppable for Wolves this season and finds himself with six assists and a goal after just nine games.

His rise in form coincided with the arrival of O’Neil to Molineux which is hardly a coincidence.

Now, Neto has had his say, explaining how the Wolves boss helped him improve.

O’Neil has had a big impact

Speaking exclusively with The Telegraph, Neto gave his verdict on his boss.

“I feel even better than I was before.” Neto explained.

“A player that has confidence is a different player: I always had it but Gary has given me even more,

“I play football because I love it, but the game is what it is because of the fans. When I get the ball and they are pushing me and expecting something special, it’s such a good feeling.”

Neto’s incredible early form has even led to Liverpool being interested in signing him.

What is Pedro Neto’s contract situation?

Neto currently earns a weekly wage of £50k-per-week according to Capology, however this is a figure bound to rise in the event he decides to stay at Wolves.

His contract runs until 2027 at the moment, however if he continues in this form, updated terms will be expected no doubt.

If he was to depart he will easily double or even triple this, which makes having him for this fee a great coup, with his huge contributions this season.

The 23-year-old will continue to look a bargain in this market as he carries Wolves forward.
