Pedro Neto has been the talk of the town this season when it comes to Wolves.
It has been a tremendous start for the 23-year-old, who has made five assists and scored one goal.
Neto has been so good, that he was today included among the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
Neto has just looked full of confidence, and as though he’s fully enjoying himself again.
He’s had a frustrating past couple of years because of injuries.
But he appears to have put that behind him now – and he looks like he’ll be absolutely key for Wolves this season.
Paul Merson says Pedro Neto would have left Wolves by now had it not been for his injuries
Neto is perhaps playing some of the best football of his career right now.
He very much looks like the player of two years ago.

The player that was thriving before he suffered a fractured patella.
After coming back from that, Neto suffered a serious ankle injury months later.
He’s had rotten luck, and Merson actually believes the player is that talented, he would not still be at Molineux now had he stayed fit.
He said (Sportskeeda): “Wolves’ victory against City was phenomenal. Pedro Neto was outstanding, and I don’t think he’d still be at Wolves if he didn’t get injured last year.
“He’s become a better player than he was before his injury, and I’ll be surprised if he’s still at the club after January.”
Pedro Neto is an amazing talent who Wolves will do well to retain
Wolves fans may not take too kindly to these comments from Merson.
Who is he to say that Wolves would not have fought extremely hard to keep hold of Neto had he not suffered those injuries?
But a lot of Wolves fans are realistic.

There is going to be interest in Neto moving forwards, and Wolves will do really well to keep him.
He’s another player in the Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota category in terms of being a very desirable player.
But who knows, perhaps Wolves can keep him until his mid-twenties as they did with Neves. A lot of fans would probably take that.
