Hwang trains with Wolves for the first time

Wolves have released footage of Hwang Hee-chan stepping out at Compton Park for the first time.

The 25-year-old completed a loan move to the Black Country from RB Leipzig a couple of days before transfer deadline day.

The attacker ultimately arrived as Wolves’ final signing of the window.

There is quite a lot of hype about Hwang, as it is known Wolves have had a long-standing interest in the player.

The club liked him during his RB Salzburg days, where he impressed playing alongside Erling Haaland.

We will now get to see if he can show why Wolves have been so keen to bring him in.

With Raul Jimenez doubtful to face Watford as FIFA consider sanctioning the club for not releasing him to Mexico, there’s a chance he could start at Vicarage Road.

Bruno Lage could also potentially turn to Fabio Silva, or perhaps even play both in a strike partnership.

Today, the club have released footage of Hwang walking out at Compton Park for the first time since his move.

That’s despite him featuring for South Korea against Lebanon on Tuesday at the Suwon World Cup Stadium.

He made an assist in that game and played a full 90 minutes.

That bodes well ahead of Saturday, and it’s good that he’s been able to work with his new colleagues and build some connections.
