Wolverhampton Wanderers star Hwang Hee-chan has insisted he wants to become ‘one of the best’, by learning from his compatriot Son Heung-min.

The 25-year-old has settled quickly at Molineux following his loan move from RB Leipzig.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

He has already scored four goals in Wolves colours, and the South Korea international is quickly becoming a crowd favourite for his aggressive style.

Not only is he popular with the fans already, but Bruno Lage has also been very pleased with him.

Wolves were having problems scoring goals before his arrival.

But he clearly has an eye for goal, despite a tricky first season with Leipzig, and his partnership with Raul Jimenez is starting to look tasty.

For Hwang, it is simply about knuckling down and becoming the best player he can possibly be.

And he pointed to his international teammate and Tottenham Hotspur star Son, as someone he can follow.

He said in an interview with The Telegraph: “I can learn a lot from watching Son, and the first thing is hard work. It’s what the manager tells me, to work consistently every day, and that’s what I need to become one of the best players.

“The goal of every player is to become one of the best and that will never waver for me.”

Son is a fine example to follow

It’s been a brilliant start from Hwang, who looks really well-suited to the Premier League.

At Spurs, Son has enjoyed a very impressive rise.

Things aren’t going so well right now for them as a team, but Son is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Premier League when on form.

His hard work and quality on the ball have allowed him to flourish since his £22 million move to England back in 2015.

Hopefully, Hwang can follow in his fellow countryman’s footsteps and who knows, perhaps even become better than him someday.
