Hugo Bueno posts message on Instagram after new contract and Player of the Month win

Wolves star Hugo Bueno took to Instagram last night after the announcements he had been given a new contract and won Player of the Month for October.

The youngster has been rewarded by the club for his seamless transition to the first-team.

Bueno had been making some matchday squads earlier this season. But finally made his debut in the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

He has since started the last three games for the club, and got an assist on his full debut against Crystal Palace.

Bueno has performed admirably while most of the rest of the team have struggled.

Officials have decided to reward Bueno in the form of a shiny new contract, taking him up to the summer of 2024.

But the good news didn’t stop there for Bueno.

He was also named Player of the Month for October, getting 55% of the vote.

He beat Ruben Neves, Adama Traore and Daniel Podence to the award, and it was thoroughly deserved.

It has been a whirlwind past few weeks for Bueno, who took to Instagram last night to share his thoughts.

He wrote: “What an amazing month for me, I can only say thank you to everyone who made this possible, I’m really happy to sign a new deal with @Wolves and get Player of the Month too. Let’s keep working for more and hopefully this is just the beginning.”

There were many comments left by fans, and also teammates.

Wanderers captain Ruben Neves replied with ‘Dale crack’.

Dion Sanderson and Andreas Sondegaard both told Bueno his new contract and Player of the Month award were well deserved.

And the likes of Chem Campbell, Harvey Griffiths, Taylor Perry and Theo Corbeanu all left emojis in support of the starlet they all know very well from the youth teams.

Hugo Bueno must keep enjoying the moment for Wolves after whirlwind October

Bueno has enjoyed an amazing past few weeks at Wolves and probably has to stop and pinch himself every now and then.

From Rayan Ait-Nouri being unable to play against Palace due to illness, Bueno has now become a full-fledged member of the first-team squad, and the left-back position is now his to lose.

It’s brilliant to see a young player that is as hard working as he is getting chances and thriving.

Bueno simply needs to just keep enjoying himself.

And he must keep his feet firmly on the ground – there is no doubt that he will given his character.
