Dave Edwards believes Pedro Neto is looking sharp for Wolves after four Premier League games, and has described him as ‘a huge positive’ for Gary O’Neil.
On Saturday against Crystal Palace, the Portuguese winger was arguably Wolves’ best player.
He was a threat down the left, where he looked much more comfortable.
Neto actually finished the game with two assists to his name, taking his tally to three for the season. No player in the Premier League has more.
Neto came in for praise from O’Neil after the 3-2 defeat and it’s clear he is very much in favour with the 40-year-old.
And Edwards has also showered praise on him today…
Dave Edwards praises Pedro Neto’s start to the new season
Neto was definitely lively against the Eagles.
He was an outlet and a threat for Wanderers on that left wing, which is where he needs to be playing moving forwards.

Neto is more of an old fashioned winger, who likes to get to the byline and cross with his strong left foot.
While he’s decent on the right, sometimes his play is a bit predictable.
On Neto’s start this season, Edwards said (Express & Star): “Pedro Neto, too, is getting closer to his best. When he plays on the left he is a lot more effective. On the right he cuts onto his left but Wolves struggle to score goals when the defence is set.
“But on the left he can get down the outside and cross with his left, putting the ball behind the defence. You then need the forwards getting in and making runs.
“A fit and healthy Neto, who now looks sharp, is a huge positive for O’Neil. He will get more and more confident if he keeps getting crosses into the box. You can now build the relationships with the strikers.”
Pedro Neto form has been a real positive for Wolves
Without doubt, Neto’s start to the new season has been encouraging.
He has had a much, much better start this time around compared to last season.

Three assists in four games is a good return and O’Neil will now hope for the winger to build on this after the international break.
If Neto can return to the level he was showing a couple of years ago, then Wolves fans can expect to see more goals.
