Vitor Pereira’s contract with Wolves expires at the end of the season, and no news of an extension has emerged, but sources close to Molineux News are privy to the club’s wishes.
Wolves were in the depths of despair when Vitor Pereira took over last December, 19th in the league and struggling to turn things around.
Pereira’s impact was instant, and he got Wolves playing winning football, dragging them out of the relegation zone to a 16th-place finish by the end of the campaign.

This season, it hasn’t been so easy, with Wolves yet to get a result in three attempts.
Now, Wolves’ stance on a possible Pereira extension has been reported.
Wolves are happy with Vitor Pereira and will offer an extension in the coming months
Sources close to Molineux News say Wolves’ official position is that they are assessing the situation, but there is confidence that a new contract will be agreed.
The club is waiting to see how summer signings settle and whether the team can start getting some positive results.

But they’re happy with how the summer has gone, even if Wolves fans would vehemently disagree.
Neither Pereira nor Wolves will rush this. The mistake made with Gary O’Neil, offering him a four-year deal at the start of last season, is not one Wolves wish to repeat. But from all appearances, a renewal is on the cards.
Vitor Pereira remains the right manager for Wolves
The poor start to the season hasn’t put the club off Pereira, and it shouldn’t.
There was always going to be an adjustment period after losing so many key figures in the squad, and it’s clear the new signings are in the adaptation phase.
The manager can’t be blamed in such circumstances, at least not initially.
There has been chatter online about Nuno Espirito Santo now being available. Some fans would rather see a return from Nuno than stick with his fellow countryman.
That would be a mistake. Pereira has been nothing short of excellent since arriving at Molineux, and I’m sure he will figure things out as the squad begins to gel.
