How many signings Fosun have told Vitor Pereira they will make for him after Wolves loss to Man City

Wolves have lost many key members of last season’s Premier League core, leaving the squad in a much weaker position this year.

Wolves struggled throughout pre-season, and the result against Manchester City only highlighted the need for further recruitment.

Vitor Pereira feels there is a lack of quality in the squad, with Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Nelson Semedo being some of the bigger departures this transfer window.

However, there may finally be good news on the horizon for both the manager and Wolves supporters.

Fosun tell Vitor Pereira they will make three or four signings before transfer window shuts

There is no doubt that Wolves are in desperate need of new signings, and Vitor Pereira has made it clear he needs new players.

Talking to the press ahead of the Premier League opener, Pereira shared his expectations for the transfer window, and at the time it didn’t look great for Wolves. Pereira hinted only one further signing could be made.

However, he has now provided an update and confirmed exactly what Fosun have told him they will do before the window shuts.

Speaking after the defeat to Manchester City, Vitor Pereira confirmed that Fosun told him they are ‘working to bring in three or four players to balance our squad.’

Pereira’s public declaration on what Fosun told him about transfers puts pressure on the board, and they now have to deliver for the manager.

It is clear to everyone around the club how much they need added reinforcements to ensure they don’t fall into a relegation battle.

Three or four quality additions could be the difference maker, but only as long as they are in the right areas.

The positions Wolves are targeting in the transfer market

At the moment, it is believed that the arrival of right-wing back Jackson Tchatchoua is one of the signings currently being worked on. Meanwhile, another attacker is also desperately needed.

Wolves did hold interest in Liverpool forward Ben Doak, but as he is now set to join Bournemouth, their sights will have to move to another target.

Additionally, it seems Vitor Pereira is looking to add more bodies to his defence, with Jakub Kiwior linked to a move to Molineux.

Either way, Wolves seem to finally be moving in the transfer market, and with Pereira confirming work is being done to strengthen, fans could have a lot to be happy about over the coming weeks.
