Wolves were hammered 4-1 by Manchester United on Monday night, and Rob Edwards was able to provide an update on the injured Marshall Munetsi after the game.
The Old Gold lost once again in the Premier League, with Bruno Fernandes at the double for the visitors at Molineux.
Rob Edwards slammed Wolves’ defending, saying it was like watching a kids’ game at times.
Fans could barely believe what they were seeing at times as United sliced Wolves open in the second-half.
Who was the most disappointing Wolves performer in the 4-1 defeat to Man United? 🐺🔴
Yet another dismal evening for Wolverhampton Wanderers 😠
Wolves actually looked OK just before half-time, and there was brief hope of a result when Jean-Ricner Bellegarde equalised.
But the quality between the two teams was evident in the end, and it was yet another loss in the top-flight for Wolves, who haven’t won in the Premier League since April 26.
The mood could barely be worse around Wolves right now.
And after the game, there was even more bad news as Edwards revealed the potential injury lay-off for Marshall Munetsi.

Marshall Munetsi set for lengthy injury lay-off for Wolves

Munetsi was unavailable to face United after picking up a calf injury against Nottingham Forest.
Munetsi had only been on the pitch for a matter of minutes after going on as a substitute. But he limped off, and Edwards said that he would be having a scan.
After last night’s defeat to United, Edwards provided a update on Munetsi.
And it’s not good news, with the midfielder out for the rest of the year.
Edwards said (via E&S): “It’ll be weeks, I don’t know how many at the moment, but I think at the moment it’s looking like at least six weeks, I think.”
That will mean that Munetsi will not be heading to the upcoming AFCON tournament with Zimbabwe, in what will likely be a big personal blow.
Ladislav Krejci could be used more in midfield for Wolves
Wolves would have been missing Munetsi for a period of time anyway due to the AFCON tournament, but it seems the Zimbabwe international will potentially be unavailable for a fair while.
That will only increase the clamour for Wolves to sign a new midfielder in January. Although given how bad things have become, fans won’t hold out much hope of a real top quality player arriving.

So it could be that Ladislav Krejci plays more minutes in midfield.
The Czech international is capable of playing in the engine room, and could well be seen as an option by Edwards in light of this news about Munetsi.
