‘He’s been outstanding’: Wolves legend now heaps praise on £50k-a-week Molineux star

John Richards has lavished praise on Pedro Neto following his amazing start to the new season for Wolves.

Neto has been a breath of fresh air so far this season.

The 23-year-old has supplied five assists so far, and also scored a brilliant goal against Luton town.

Neto’s form has been a delight to see, given his injury problems in the last two years.

Every time he gets the ball right now he looks a threat, and Wolves fans are absolutely loving what he’s bringing to the table.

And Richards is as exhilarated as everyone else watching him…

In the former Molineux striker’s eyes, the Portuguese is firing on all cylinders.

He said: “He’s been outstanding. He’s turning defenders inside-out and creating goals. It’s lovely to see him back, it really is.

“The injuries had taken their toll and it took him time to get back to what he was, but he’s really firing on all cylinders now.

“He’s outstanding, he really is.”

Plenty of other Wolves players of the past have also hailed Neto recently, including Steve Bull, Dave Edwards and Andy Thompson.

Neto is thriving

Everyone associated with Wolves is just delighted about Neto’s form right now.

It was absolutely devastating for him when he got that first knee injury in April 2021.

It ruled him out for 10 months, causing him to miss the Euros.

Then in October 2022, £50,000-a-week star Neto suffered a serious ankle injury, denying him any chance of making it to the World Cup in Qatar.

His setbacks were cruel, but he’s now back and thriving again for Wolves.

And he is very much looking like that exact same player as before his first injury which is extremely exciting.
