Wolves suffered a chastening defeat yesterday in their first Premier League home game of the season, losing 4-1 to Brighton.
Wanderers fans were very much looking forward to watching the team, after the highly encouraging performance on Monday night against Manchester United.
There were plenty of positives against the Red Devils.
A stern test awaited in the form of Brighton, who have been so good under Roberto De Zerbi in recent times.
And unfortunately, there was to be no repeat of the performance on Monday as the Seagulls swept Wolves away at Molineux.
Wolves actually did OK in the first-half, but completely unravelled defensively in the second, conceding three goals in the space of nine minutes after the restart.
It was an afternoon to forget.
But one Wolves player did receive a positive verdict during last night’s Match of the Day…
Matheus Cunha acknowledged for his efforts as Wolves thrashed by Brighton
During the analysis of the game last night, there was a lot of praise for Brighton.

They are playing some brilliant stuff under De Zerbi, and look set to be finishing in the top places of the table this season.
Wolves’ defending was slammed by Alan Shearer and Danny Murphy.
But Murphy did have a couple of positive things to say about Cunha.
He said: “They got themselves in some really good positions and in the first-half, the game was pretty even. And they would be disappointed actually because they had the better chances.
“Matheus Cunha’s got great ability. Gets himself in these wonderful positions but not often enough. Gliding past people, fantastic pace. Now can you spot the pass? He gets it right on the third occasion now, again skilful, he’s started the season well, he looks fit, he looks strong. Fabio Silva has got to do better…”
Tim Sherwood was also impressed with Cunha, as he watched the game on Soccer Saturday.
Matheus Cunha a very minor positive for poor Wolves
Wolves need to very quickly move on from yesterday’s 4-1 defeat.
It did not have to be that comprehensive for Brighton – as is usually always the case, Wolves were poor in front of goal and have ended up losing a game heavily.

At the very least for Wolves, Cunha, 24, again looked good in the first-half.
The Brazilian looks very sharp right now, and if he could find his shooting boots then Wolves would be in business.
