Goncalo Guedes and Pablo Sarabia have come under question in recent weeks due to a spell of poor form.
Wolves have a good chance of avoiding relegation but, Vitor Pereira’s squad must continue to work to ensure survival concerns aren’t present in May.
The Old Gold have improved significantly since the Portuguese’s arrival however, the Wolves manager is demanding more than merely surviving the drop.
While some players are performing to the standard required to earn results, some need to show a greater level of desire, with Guedes and Sarabia being two who need to step up.

Vitor Pereira comments on Goncalo Guedes and Pablo Sarabia’s form
In Wolves’ recent defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, there were plenty of positives to take despite losing the game.
Pereira’s half-time team talk against Liverpool was crucial to the Old Gold coming out in the second half to cause the league leaders problems, with one change necessary.
After a sluggish first 45 minutes, Pereira was told he made the easiest substitute of the season, hooking Sarabia and Guedes who offered very little going forward.
Following the defeat and the criticism that the duo received, the boss sent a rallying cry to both forwards ahead of Wolves’ clash with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
“When I take out a player, it doesn’t mean that in the next game, I wouldn’t put him in again because I trust him,” Pereira explained to the media, via Express and Star.
“We need to bring players to compete and to get the best out of everyone. Pablo Sarabia and Goncalo Guedes, they know that they have other players to compete with them.
“And for us, this is the good competition that I like to see on the team. Next game for sure, Pablo and Goncalo will play at a better level.”
Wolves fans haven’t been pleased with Sarabia throughout the season, with Guedes also needing to raise the bar amid a dip in form.
Guedes and Sarabia playing for their futures
Pereira not only needs his two attackers to step to help the team but, to guide the manager as the summer transfer window fast approaches.
Sarabia is likely to leave Wolves at the expiration of his contract in the summer but, there remains uncertainty regarding Guedes’ future.

Pablo Sarabia | 15 | 1 | 1 |
After spending time on loan away from Molineux, it was a surprise to see the Portuguese forward start the season with the Old Gold and even more so to become part of Pereira’s plans.
Whether the 28-year-old remains at Wolves or moves on in the summer remains unclear but, will certainly be impacted by his form, giving Pereira added incentive to get the versatile attacker ticking ahead of the run-in.
