Wolverhampton Wanderers may not be able to find the net very easily, but Morgan Gibbs-White can.

The player who is loan at Championship side Sheffield United from Wolves has made a stunning start to life in South Yorkshire.

In his first three games for the Blades, the Wolves academy product has managed to get two goals and two assists.

That included an assist in yesterday’s 3-1 victory over Hull City. Gibbs-White provided a sumptuous cross for veteran striker Billy Sharp to capitalise on and give United the lead.

In addition, he was awarded the ‘Sky Bet Man of the Match’ award for his fine display against the Tigers.

The midfielder signed for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side on loan last month for the entire season.

Wolves have a recall option in January.

Wolves need to let Gibbs-White develop

Some Wolves fans took to Twitter yesterday saying that Gibbs-White should back to Molineux in light of his good form.

The fans were responding to the player’s tweet, which included pictures from yesterday’s victory over Hull City. The tweet was captioned: ‘Saturday dump, safe journey home’.

Despite the temptation to recall Gibbs-White, Wolves should allow the player to continue develop at Bramall Lane.

It is clear the player needs minutes. Since signing for the Blades, he has started every single game for the club.

In comparison to his time at Wolves, since the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2018, he only start 10 games in three seasons.

Therefore, Wolves may be wiser to allow the player develop over a full season.

Nevertheless, going by the tweets below it appears that fans are keen to see him back at Molineux soon.
