Since the start of July, no major players have joined Wolves ahead of the new Premier League season.
As each week passes, this has become a bigger and bigger concern amongst the Molineux faithful.
Gary O’Neil has already seen former captain Max Kilman leave for West Ham with no replacement as of yet.
On top of this, star man Pedro Neto is now set to depart for Chelsea for a record fee.
With so few weeks left in the transfer window, there are fears that the club will not have time to bring in new additions.
However O’Neil has now dropped a big hint to the fans that further business will be conducted soon.
Wolves set to have a ‘big’ upcoming week in the transfer window

Going into the final weeks of the window, there are multiple areas that Wolves need reinforcements in.
A new centre-back is crucial after the departure of Kilman, and a replacement for Neto may also be expected by the fans.
After the 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, the need for further incomings only seemed more crucial ahead of the new campaign.
Thankfully, O’Neil addressed the issue after the match and dropped a potential hint that more deals could be done next week.
He said: “Next week is a big one for me to make sure the lads are ready for the Premier League and next week is a big one for us in the transfer market.”
“We do need to do some who are ready now and have played in the Premier League and know what it’s all about because it is going to be a tough test. We need to make sure we get it right, we need to make sure that I get the team right, and I’m really looking forward to the season, but there is still some work to do between now and the end of August.”

Wolves must sign multiple players before the end of the transfer window

With Neto’s departure set to be confirmed in the coming days, Wolves will have another massive sum of money hit their accounts.
While the club have reiterated throughout recent seasons that they wish to be self-sufficient, the transfer now means that they have brought in significantly more money than they have invested into the team this summer.
Therefore, there is no excuse as to why the club cannot invest further into the squad over the coming weeks.
Wolves are only a few quality additions from a top-10 finish this season. If the board backs O’Neil, he can make this a reality.
