Gary Neville is surely very worried about Wolves after Everton comment on MNF

The relegation battle is extremely tight – and a comment Gary Neville last night made about Everton on MNF surely means he is very worried about Wolves.

Last night saw Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves play out a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

Spurs went ahead with Harry Kane scoring from the penalty spot.

It had looked as though Spurs were going to hold out for all three points.

But Michael Keane popped up at the end to score an amazing goal from outside the box to earn a crucial point for the Toffees.

The result is not great for Wolves, who are now just two points above the relegation zone.

It is truly impossible to call at this stage who will be going down come May.

Last night after the game between Everton and Spurs, Sky pundits Neville and Jamie Carragher had their say on the relegation battle.

Everton were the focus, since they had just played.

They looked at the chance percentages of each team to go down, with OPTA believing Wolves now have a 22% to be relegated.

Before the latest round of fixtures, Wolves were at 20%.

After some discussion, Neville and Carragher agreed that Everton won’t go down.

But Neville did say of the Toffees (Sky Sports): “I think Dyche will look at his squad… I think his top goalscorer has got four goals. That will be a real problem. Honestly.

“I agree with you, I don’t think they’ll go down, but because of that it’s an issue.

“My concern is the lack of goals, I think it’s a real problem. Sean Dyche will be thinking, ‘How have I been handed this, with all the money that’s been spent, I’ve not got a centre-forward that I can hit’

If Gary Neville fears for Everton over lack of goals, he’s got to be worried about Wolves

It was interesting to hear Neville voicing his concerns about Everton given their goalscoring issues.

It is safe to assume he probably feels the same way about Wolves.

Wanderers have hit just 23 league goals in 29 games this season, making them the joint-lowest scorers in the division along with Everton, Nottingham Forest and Southampton.

Only one Wolves striker has scored so far this season, and that was Matheus Cunha against Leeds United. And some will argue Cunha isn’t even a number nine.

It has been an issue for Wolves for a long time now.

If Neville feels Everton are in trouble due to their lack of potency up top, he’s bound to have major concerns about Wolves.
