Wolves’ owners Fosun have a plan in place to change one major thing at the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
For fans watching the summer unfold, the demand is clear: sign players that can move Wolves away from being relegation candidates.
The Old Gold were in real trouble last season, sitting five points from safety in December at the time of Vitor Pereira’s arrival.
Fortunately, Pereira turned things around to keep Wolves up, but the pattern cannot continue, with change desperately needed from those at the top.

Fosun want to address Wolves’ wage structure
Aside from needing to invest this window to grant Pereira’s transfer demands, Fosun are eyeing additional change at Molineux.
The Wolves owners have always upheld tight purse strings, which is something that Fosun now want to implement on the wage structure.
For a club who are always hesitant to splash the cash, Wolves have forked out some big salaries to a range of players over the years under Fosun.
According to The Telegraph, Fosun are eager to ‘implement a more balanced wage structure’, with the feeling around the club being that the top end of the salary list has ‘become bloated’ in recent seasons.
Several players have been high earners, with Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia, and Nelson Semedo all name-dropped.
On the subject of the latter, the new target of implementation is rather bizarre, as Wolves offered Semedo a wage increase in a bid to keep the Portugal international at the club.
The Telegraph elaborated on Semedo’s situation, stating that Wolves ‘ideally want to move away’ from a salary of that size.

Wolves must regret Nelson Semedo offer
Wolves still don’t have an answer from Semedo; however, the boss has all but confirmed that the right-back won’t return to Molineux.
The 31-year-old is a free agent, a situation that Wolves hoped to avoid by tying the defender down to a new deal.
Pereira explained that Semedo is likely to move on, mentioning the ‘very good contract’ Wolves offered him in the hope that circumstances would be different.
“I like Nelson a lot. That’s why the club has a lot of respect and offered him a very good contract,” the boss told the Express and Star.
Given that Fosun are wary of how much is being spent on wages, it could be said that the club already regret offering such a huge proposal to Semedo.
The owners look set to avoid embarrassment on this front as Semedo is set to depart, but the new stance makes the remainder of the summer transfer window all the more interesting.
