Wolves’ valuation could drop significantly if relegation is confirmed, but Fosun have been told how much the club is worth right now.
The Chinese owners do not seem in a rush to sell the Old Gold, after previously rejecting an offer from John Textor to buy the club earlier in the season.
Instead, Fosun are only looking for a minority stakeholder to join and not an overall sale of their asset.
The club’s finances are certainly going to be a much-talked-about topic, and Wolves’ finances heading into the January window have been revealed.
It will be an important window for the club, and one they simply need to get right. If survival is not on the cards, they must begin preparing for an instant promotion, and that could protect their current value.
Can the fans really force a Fosun sale?
How much Wolves could be valued at right now

Wolves fans have wanted Fosun to sell the club for quite some time, but the Chinese ownership seem set to stay for the immediate future.
Efforts to build bridges with supporters have seemed to be made recently, with Jeff Shi being replaced as the club’s executive chairman, but whether that stops any future protests remains unlikely.
Fosun will be looking to maintain the value of the club they purchased, and while relegation looks almost but not guaranteed, an instant rebound to the Premier League would certainly help their case
Right now, according to The Athletic, Wolves can be expected to be valued at £280 million-£310 million, but if the likely relegation is confirmed, then that could begin to drop.
The article states, “Avoiding relegation from here might well drift into miracle territory, and it’s a fact of English footballing life that tumbling into the Championship can take a sledgehammer to a club’s value.”
Wolves’ value decreases by the day… how much are they worth now?📉
They do state that all Championship clubs are not the same, with Wrexham and Ipswich Town recent examples of second-tier sides with decent valuations.
However, they are clubs that have projected upwards with the Old Gold trending downwards.

Fosun will be well aware of the dangers of consistent Championship season

Fosun will know all too well that Championship sides’ value can drop quite significantly if an extended stay in England’s second tier occurs.
The Chinese conglomerate had paid just £45 million for the Old Gold back in 2016.
And if Wolves fail to come back to England’s top flight over the next few years, it might not be long until the price of the club comes crashing back down to that figure.
The owners will no doubt want to protect their asset, and that might provide just a glimmer of hope for fans if a Championship season comes around.
However, if Wolves do get promoted, what is to say that history does not repeat itself, and the Old Gold struggle to maintain themselves as a consistent Premier League team once more?
Fans will likely continue to fight against the ownership, and while it may seem like a fruitless endeavour right now, Everton are an example Wolves should look to in their battle against Fosun.
