Jordan Graham was a special guest on the latest Wolves Weekly podcast – and the former Molineux winger gave a rave review of Gary O’Neil.
Wolves fans are buzzing at the moment with how things are going at the club.
O’Neil has got Wolves up into ninth place in the Premier League table and one more victory will see the club equal their final points tally from last season.
Wolves have scored 40 goals, and O’Neil has proven himself to be a fantastic tactician, as well as someone who always speaks brilliantly in interviews.
O’Neil is finally starting to get the praise he deserves in the media, as Wolves now seek to look up rather than over their shoulder. There is genuinely a possibility of securing some kind of European football come the end of the season the way things are going.
It’ll still be a tall order, because Wolves have a small squad and O’Neil has already mentioned fatigue is creeping in. But the fans believe, and you wouldn’t put it past them…
Jordan Graham says he’s a huge fan of Wolves manager Gary O’Neil and says he would love to play under him

Graham made an appearance on Wolves Weekly with Mikey Burrows, and spoke about his time at the club.
Graham, now 28, plays for Lleyton Orient these days, but had a five-year spell at Molineux from 2015 to 2020. He only made 17 first-team appearances for the club because of rotten injury luck, and the star is actually currently recovering from another knee injury, for which he had surgery in November.
He joined Burrows to talk about his time at Wolves and the relationships he had with different managers.
He was also asked for his opinion about the current Wolves team and Gary O’Neil – and it’s safe to say Graham is a huge fan of the 40-year-old and what he’s done.
He said: “I want to say what a fantastic job Gary O’Neil is doing. I wish I was at Wolves right now with him. Because I think he’s top. Absolutely top. The way he interacts with the fans, the club, the staff, the kids. Bringing the kids to train with the first-team. His analysis on Monday Night Football. The way he sees the game. I think he’s a proper, proper manager. I’ve got lots and lots of time (for him).
“I hope he sticks around for a while at Wolves. My hope is that he sticks around at Wolves, my worry is he might not. I think he might get poached, because he’s really, really good. Hopefully, he can stay there a while because the club is going in the right direction with Gary O’Neil. I’m a big fan.”
It hasn’t just been about the results with O’Neil
It is safe to say that Graham massively rates O’Neil, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a Wolves fan who doesn’t agree with him.
It says it all that Graham would like to play for O’Neil – why wouldn’t anyone?
Since coming in, O’Neil has not only shown himself to be an astute tactician, but a warm individual who communicates well in whatever setting he is in. Whether that’s in interviews, press conferences or giving speeches in the dressing room, like the rousing one against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season.
O’Neil is extremely humble and hardworking and this is why he is extremely endearing. It is little wonder the players are ready to run through brick walls for him.
