He has been the heartbeat of the team in midfield, regularly posting pass completion rates above 90%. And he’s chipped in with three goals and four assists, too.
Fernandez has been so good that he made his international debut for Argentina in September.

Record is now reporting that the 21-year-old will be on the plane to Qatar as a result of his fine form.
Not only that, he now has Manchester United looking to sign him. Apparently, the Red Devils are ‘crazy’ about him.

Fernandez could not have wished for a better start to life at Benfica.
Arouca’s Argentine midfielder Alan Ruiz said recently that Fernandez ‘looks like he’s been in Portugal for 25 years’.

He has only just broke into the squad. But it seems there’s a reasonable chance he could be a key player, so good he has been this season.
