Former Wolves loanee Vitinha has again made headlines for a wonderful performance for FC Porto, this time against Vizela.
The midfielder lined up for his 19th appearance of the season against the Braga-based outfit, and absolutely ran the show.
Vitinha completed 67/77 passes for a rate of 87%, and saw the ball more than any other player in the game with 98 touches (via Sofascore).
He won 5/6 of his duels, and executed two key passes.
Porto will have far tougher matches this season, with Vizela only 13th in the Portuguese league table.
But it was still a fantastic display from Vitinha, who still hasn’t tasted defeat in the league so far this season.
It was a display that will do little to make some Wolves fans feel better about the fact that the club opted not to sign him in the summer.
Vitinha, of course, spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Wolves.
The club had the chance to turn his move to Molineux permanent for around £17 million.
They were even given more time to trigger their clause.
But ultimately, officials were not overly convinced by Vitinha’s performance in a Wolves shirt. And the decision was made to let him head back to Portugal.
Fans react to Vitinha’s performance against Vizela
On social media, some fans have been giving their reactions to Vitinha’s latest outing against Vizela.
His stock is now starting to rise considerably, with more people generally taking note of Porto due to the fact they are still unbeaten along with Sporting CP.
He is starting to draw attention, and some people cannot fathom Wolves’ decision not to sign him.
Here’s what some Porto and Wolves fans said:
It’s that time of the week again. My weekly moan we didn’t sign Vitinha.
And no it will never end 😂 #wwfc https://t.co/vLYDUXovzT

Porto holding onto Luis Díaz in the summer was huge, but Wolves not triggering the option to buy Vitinha after his loan spell was also so important for us. What a talent he is, such a joy to watch. pic.twitter.com/JlPZfvZQvl

Not a single midfielder in this country can touch Vitinha

I’d have kept him at Wolves. Better than what we signed.
