Matt Murray has taken to Twitter to react after footage was posted of some of Ruben Neves’ best bits from the season so far.
A video lasting two minutes and 18 seconds was posted by Wolves Fancast – and can be watched below – showing how good Neves has been this season.
Perhaps Neves and some of his Wolves teammates are getting the credit they deserve now after the high-profile victory over Manchester United on Monday night.
But Wolves fans have known it for some years now and Murray felt the need to underline it when he saw the video online.
Wolves have an absolute gem in Neves. He is a playmaker who is able to do the other side of the game and can dictate games in the Premier League.
Monday night saw another masterclass from the Portuguese international, who was unlucky not to score when he volleyed goalwards in the first half.
David de Gea was equal to that impressive effort but could not stop Joao Moutinho handing Wolves a deserved victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
With the January transfer window now open, there may well be a lot of chatter about Neves’ future just like there was in the summer.
Back then, no team seemed to come forward with a serious bid and Wolves were able to keep one of their best players without any fuss at all.
There might be a lot of conversation and a less action once again in the winter market. Admiring glances are one thing but it should cost a lot of money to prise Neves away from Molineux now.
