Danny Batth makes a surprise return to the Wolves set-up

Danny Batth had a great run while he was at Molineux. Progressing through the Wolves academy, the local lad eventually became the captain of the side on the back of winning League One.
Then, after four years in the Championship, he played a part in another promotion as Wolves returned to the Premier League.
Following this, he was sold to Stoke City, bringing an end to his nearly 20-year stay at Molineux where he amassed over 200 appearances.
However, success has still found Batth. The defender helped Sunderland win promotion out of League One and he was voted as their Player of the Year the following season.
Now, after spending a year at Norwich, he is now a free agent.
As a result, the Express and Star have reported that Batth is now back at Compton, training with the Under 21s. It is understood that the club are not looking to make a surprise move for the defender who turns 34 this year.
Instead, Batth is looking to keep up his fitness as he searches for a new club with National side Solihull Moors being a potential destination.
Classy from Wolves to help Danny Batth

For many clubs, after the player has left, they tend to forget about all he has given to the team.
Batth had been a loyal servant to Wolves and the city for many years and now, in the twilight of his career, they are repaying that debt.
By allowing him to use their facilities for a short time until he finds a new club is classy from Wolves. It may also help inspire many of the Under 21s who can briefly train with a player who has progressed through the ranks into the first team.
Hopefully, over the coming weeks, Batth can find a new team and have one last hurrah on a fantastic career.
