Wolves’ hunt for a new manager may not have come to an end yet as a former Man United boss was seen in the stands against Ipswich.
Wolves have had a chaotic few weeks. After a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Everton, all signs pointed towards Gary O’Neil being sacked.
Yet, after a 2-1 loss to West Ham on Monday night, Fosun has decided to back O’Neil as he faces two crunch matches against Ipswich and Leicester.
Since then, Mario Lemina has been replaced as Wolves captain by Nelson Semedo as the club seeks to move out of the relegation zone.
Yet, further speculation about O’Neil’s future emerged when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was spotted in the stands.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spotted at Wolves vs Ipswich

The former Manchester United manager has been out of work since the Red Devils sacked him in November 2021.
At United, Solskjaer had a fairly decent run as he finished second in the Premier League during the 2020/21 campaign.
He also reached the final of the Europa League in the same season before Man United were defeated via penalties by Villarreal.
The following campaign saw a quick downturn in form despite the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo and he was eventually sacked after 17 points from 12 games.
However, after over three years out of management, the Molineux faithful were speculating if he was now making a return when he was spotted at Wolves vs Ipswich.
Yet, these rumours were quickly dismissed by journalist Andy Mitten who confirmed that the visit to Molineux was a ‘long-planned trip’ to see Ipswich due to a series of personal connections.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be a good option for Wolves if Gary O’Neil is sacked

While it is unlikely that Solskjaer will be appointed as the Old Gold manager, he could be a good option for the club.
The Norwegian’s work at Man United was fairly impressive, especially given that he was challenging near the top of the division.
There is no doubt that further defeats under O’Neil could force Fosun to make a change and given that plenty of managers have rejected Wolves in recent weeks, their options are running out.
Hopefully, the Englishman can turn the Old Gold’s season around, but if he is let go, Solskjaer would not be a bad option.
