It has been a tumultuous week for a couple of Wolves loanees.
We’re at a stage in the season that tends to see an uptick in manager sackings as the true level of teams becomes clearer.

Jack Wilshere announced as Luton Town manager
Once Matt Bloomfield was given his marching orders by Luton, Wolves fans would have been monitoring the situation, with loanee Nigel Lonwijk currently playing for the League One side.
On Monday morning, former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere was announced as the new manager.
Lonwijk was being utilised in multiple positions by Bloomfield, showing his impressive versatility. Whether Wilshere will be as trusting remains to be seen, but the 22-year-old will know these next weeks are crucial for his prospects of playing time this season.
From a Wolves perspective, they will be desperate for the Dutchman to be involved, if only to boost his value for a summer sale.
Nuno Espirito Santo wanted Jack Wilshere at Wolves

Wolves were gearing up for their first season back in the top flight, and Nuno Espirito Santo saw Wilshere as a viable midfield addition to pair with Ruben Neves.

But West Ham would be the ones to convince the Englishman, and it might have been a blessing in disguise. Wilshere scored once for the Hammers in two seasons before his contract was mutually terminated.
He would bounce around from club to club before making the decision to retire in 2022, aged 30.
It’s great to see a player like Wilshere back in English football, and hopefully he can find success with Lonwijk at the fore.
