Greek side Olympiacos are yet to make a decision on whether to sign forgotten Wolves man Daniel Podence according to reports.
The Portuguese international was a vital player for Wolves last season as he finished as the club’s top scorer in their successful battle against relegation.
However, with Wolves needing to raise funds combined with Gary O’Neil not favouring the winger, Podence was sent out on loan to the Greek side.
The 28-year-old did sign a short-term contract with the club before departing to help keep his value. It has been expected that Podence will depart Wolves permanently, sooner rather than later.
Yet, reports emerged today that his future may not be at Olympiacos, with the club yet to make a decision on whether to sign the winger.
Olympiacos yet to take up option to sign Daniel Podence

Since joining the Greek side, Podence has had a fairly successful spell in the country thus far.
Despite the side sitting four in the Greek Superleague, the winger has had no trouble finding the back of the net.
Podence has scored 10 times this campaign in 28 appearances, with three goals coming in the Europa League. The winger has also collected four assists to take his goal contributions to 14.
On the weekend, Podence also scored a fantastic goal that provided reactions from his former Wolves teammates.
However, despite this success, Sportime reporter Giannis Chorianopoulos believes the club are yet to make a decision on whether to activate his buyout clause.
He posted on X: “Olympiacos have not make any decision yet to activate Daniel Podence option to buy clause from Wolves (€5m.). His performances are better under new manager José Luis Mendilibar but no decision yet.”
Daniel Podence to return to Wolves?

If Olympiacos do not take up the option to buy then he may yet have a part to play at Wolves.
With Pedro Neto consistently linked away, Podence could prove to be a good backup option until a more permanent solution is found. The winger still clearly has ability and could well play a role next season, especially if Wolves end up in Europe.
However, this seems unlikely. With the numbers Podence is producing; if the winger is available for €5m, it would seem foolish of the Greek side not to activate the option to buy.
