Wolves youngster Matija Sarkic put in another fine performance last night for Birmingham City – this time against Coventry City.

The Montengro international pulled off several great saves to keep the Blues in the contest.
In their post-match player ratings pieces, the Birmingham Mail gave Sarkic an 8.5/10 for his performance.
They said of him: “Made two solid first-half saves from Godden and Maatsen and dealt with several crosses into his area. Was on hand to deny Hamer and Godden again in the second. Very, very good.”
In their eyes ,he was the star man last night.
And Bowyer was pleased with Sarkic’s contributions, saying: “Whenever they asked the question he came up trumps for us. The lad at the end there shot over the bar, I thought ‘Here we go’ but it went over.

#bcfc looked a different side with Deeney as captain. A proper leader. We need to revert to 4 at the back ASAP! Sarkic bailing us out once again, player of the season so far.

Don’t think it was a red card amd will very much take a point – but the officials missed so much tonight. 2nd half much better than 1st. Have to do something about our forward play – we just never really looked like scoring. Sarkic mega in goal again. Now the journey home #bcfc
