Morgan Gibbs-White was back to scoring ways last night out on loan for Sheffield United, scoring his fourth goal for the club against Nottingham Forest.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder had been on something of a mini-drought, having not found the net for a month.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

After scoring against Bournemouth at the start of October, Gibbs-White then blanked against Stoke City and Millwall.

In a disappointing moment for the player, he picked up a red card against the Lions, forcing him out against Barnsley.

Gibbs-White returned in the club’s 1-0 defeat to Blackpool.

Last night though, Gibbs-White struck his fourth goal for the Blades, who drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest.

It was a nice goal from the 21-year-old, who picked up the ball in between Forest’s midfield and defence.

He got the ball back from Billy Sharp and finished first time.

It was a goal that rather typifies what Gibbs-White is all about – collecting the ball in advanced midfield positions and driving forwards to make things happen.

The Sheffield Star gave Gibbs-White a 7/10 for his display, adding: “Never stopped moving into space to demand the ball and got his rewards late in the game when he poked home Sharp’s cross to put the Blades ahead.”

Fans react after Gibbs-White grabs goal against Forest

On social media, Gibbs-White drew praise from Sheffield United fans for his latest loan performance.

He is very quickly, it seems, becoming a hit at Bramall Lane, and lots of people are hoping he will sign for the club permanently.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with him.

Bruno Lage wanted to keep hold of him, but it was the player’s decision to head out to get regular minutes.

Wolves have the option to recall him, but would be reluctant to take him out of an environment where he is shining.

Here’s what some fans said about him after last night:
