Fans have questioned Spain manager Luis Enrique, after he left Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore out of the nation’s Euro 2020 last 16 clash with Croatia.
Traore has barely featured at the tournament so far.
The winger got on for 15 minutes or so against Slovakia.
But by the time he entered the picture, Spain had already scored all five of their goals.
It is a surprise the 25-year-old has featured so little.
In the first game, Spain clearly needed someone with an X-factor about them, as Sweden defended really well.
It was a similar story against Poland, but Enrique once again overlooked him.
It remains to be seen if the decision will pay off for Enrique today, or if Spain will struggle to break down the Croatian defence, as was the case in the first two games.
On social media, fans were left stunned by Traore’s axeing:
Looked one of the best on the pitch when he came on!

Tough on him but at least he’s not in the shop window for the fire sale 😉 😉😉

Got to have an injury surely else there is something not right with Spain!

This is a nonsense decision

Must have a knock – surely you would have him on the bench otherwise as an option

You’ve got to start asking questions about the Spanish manager like how aren’t Thiago or Adama Traore starting?#spain

Disgraceful, would have given them that extra pace down the right.
