Fans are bound to appreciate Ladislav Krejci’s view of Wolves’ final eight games

Ladislav Krejci has insisted he’s keen to avoid being ‘disrespectful’ towards Wolves fans by talking about next season.

It has been a dreadful season for Wolves, and the likelihood is that relegation will be the ultimate outcome.

Wolves are 13 points adrift of safety, and effectively need to win almost all their remaining games to stay up.

But despite the looming threat of relegation, Ladislav Krejci has made some refreshing comments regarding Wolves’ approach to the final eight games of the season.

Ladislav Krejci won’t insult Wolves fans by talking about next season

Krejci is under no illusion that Wolves are in a terrible position.

However, the Czech international knows that nothing is completely set in stone yet.

And while that’s the case, he is refusing to believe that staying up isn’t possible, and wants to avoid being ‘disrespectful’ to the fans by talking about next term when there’s still a chance.

He said (via Wolves official): “Our goals are clear. We still have a chance, even if it’s one per cent, it’s still a possibility, so this is our goal.

“This is how we will take it till the end of the season, and if we have the chance to fight for it, I will be the first in line to do it.

“We will be crazy, and also disrespectful to the club and to the fans, if we speak about what could be next season, because the season is not finished and we are still involved.

“This is not just how I am thinking, but it’s how all the people around here are thinking.”

It’s not over until it’s over

Wolves’ need a miracle to stay up, but there are still 24 points to play for, which means Wolves can finish on a maximum of 40, which has long been a high enough tally for survival.

Of course, Wolves are highly unlikely to win all eight of their remaining games.

But as run-ins go, Wolves do actually have a pretty good end to the season in terms of the fixtures.

Indeed, Opta recently determined the Old Gold have the ‘easiest’ run of fixtures left to play.

We’ve been seeing Wolves be much more competitive in games lately, and the players have clearly responded well to Edwards’ arrival and his methods.

It’s never over until it’s over, so fair play to Krejci for the message he’s trying to send.
