Wolves striker Fabio Silva is already off the mark for Anderlecht, scoring against Oostende last night.
The Belgian outfit got their 2022/23 Belgian Division A campaign off to winning start with a 2-0 victory.
The club is looking for a much better term after finishing third in 2021/22.
Last night they played their first league game of the season against Oostende, and picked up three points.
Majeed Ashimeru gave the hosts the lead just before half-time.
Then towards the end of the game, Silva came off the bench for Anderlecht to open his account.
It took him just seven minutes to make an impact.
The 20-year-old picked the ball up on the right side of the penalty area, dropped his shoulder to make a yard of space before unleashing a powerful drive into the far corner.
It was a cracking finish from the youngster, and the hope will now be for him to break into the starting XI.
Wolves are desperate for Silva to enjoy a productive spell having spent £35.6 million on him two years ago.
It has been a tricky time for the youngster since his move, and the club is hoping for him to gain some confidence and further his development Morgan Gibbs-White style.
The ideal start for Fabio Silva at Anderlecht as striker scores first goal against Oostende
So Silva is already off the mark for Anderlecht which is really good news.
The fact it took him hardly any time at all to find the back of the net is something that will give him great confidence moving forwards.
Hopefully, he’ll have given manager Felice Mazzu something to think about ahead of Anderlecht’s next game against Cercle Brugge.
