Wolves striker Fabio Silva has heaped praise on Conor Coady – and also joked he still has difficulty understanding his teammate.
The teenager has given an interview with talkSPORT today, and was very complimentary about the 29-year-old.
Silva spoke a bit about how things are currently going for him at Molineux.
He’s had to be patient this term with Raul Jimenez now back in the picture after his awful head injury last season.
Silva has only started four Premier League games so far, and made 19 appearances in the league in total.
He is yet to get off the mark in 2021/22. He will no doubt be hoping to find the net before the season finishes next month.
Silva says he doesn’t feel the pressure to score goals, which is good to hear given how much he cost the club to sign in 2020.
He has actually been developing nicely this term. And fans will hope the goals will flow a bit more regularly next season, if he doesn’t head anywhere on loan.
Silva also spoke about Coady in his interview with talkSPORT, and joked he still sometimes can’t understand the England international.
He said: “It’s not easy! He sometimes speaks too fast.
“Sometimes you have to say, ‘Come on Coads, I’m not English, I’m Portuguese – you have to speak a little slower!’
“Sometimes the English people don’t even understand him, so imagine the Portuguese guys!
“But he’s an amazing guy. I think Wolves have one of the best captains, in the dressing room he’s amazing.”
Conor Coady is a perfect captain
We’ve heard it before, and we will continue to hear it about Coady.
Not only is he a top player, but he is an unbelievable leader and someone the club is very lucky to have.
Having someone like that at the club is absolutely invaluable.
He is the glue that holds the dressing room together, and it’s clear every single person at the club respects him.
Without any shadow of a doubt he’ll go on to become a club legend, if he isn’t already.
