Fabio Silva already considering looking for new club despite only leaving Wolves in the summer

Fabio Silva left Wolves for Borussia Dortmund in the summer, and that move appears to be a disaster already.

The Portuguese striker joined the club with an injury, and reports suggested the German club were unaware and that the forward had hidden it from them.

However, it looked like things were patched up quickly, and German media tipped Fabio Silva to be a success.

But just a month on, it looks like the former Wolves striker does not want to stick around much longer at the club.

Fabio Silva had a lot of potential, but his time at Wolves did not go to plan at all.

After being contracted to the club for five years, Silva would only score five goals in 72 matches. It was not the return you expect from a forward that cost £35 million.

And Silva goes down as one of the worst transfers of the Fosun era.

However, after his unsuccessful spell at Molineux, the Old Gold had finally managed to sell him permanently after multiple loan moves.

He joined Dortmund, where he looked to turn his career around, but like his time at Wolves, that is also looking to be a failure already.

According to German journalist Dennis Bayer, Fabio Silva is “considering a lightning-fast departure from Borussia Dortmund in the winter.

“The striker is unhappy with his limited playing time, even though he’s fit. He desperately wants to go to the World Cup. It’s unclear if BVB will let him go. No transfer request has been filed with the bosses yet.”

Fabio Silva has played just 106 minutes for Borussia Dortmund across nine appearances this season.

Despite limited playing time, he has one goal and one assist in all competitions.

Fabio Silva will find it tough to go to the World Cup at this stage

It would take something truly special for Fabio Silva to get into Portugal’s World Cup squad at the moment.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Goncalo Ramos are near enough guaranteed to be on the plane to North America, and Silva has only one cap for Portugal throughout his career.

If he backs himself to go somewhere to get more playing time and produce exceptional results, then more to him.

But Wolves fans will just be glad he is no longer their problem after years of waiting for him to produce what he is trying to do now.
